Baseball Game Preview: Fort Zumwalt North Panthers vs. Howell Vikings

Fort Zumwalt North hasn't had much luck against Howell recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Vikings at 11:30 a.m. Fort Zumwalt North is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.

Fort Zumwalt North's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 win over Warrenton.

Meanwhile, Howell unfortunately witnessed the end of their 13-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 5-1 to Marquette. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last seven times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Fort Zumwalt North's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-12. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Howell, their defeat dropped their record down to 32-3.
