Softball Recap: Voyager Academy Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Voyager Academy can now relate to. They came up short against the Clover Garden School Grizzlies on Tuesday, falling 12-5.

Reese Minor was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Cameron Nelson was another key player, earning one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

Voyager Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Clover Garden School, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-6.

Voyager Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clover Garden School, they will take on Chatham Central on Friday. The Bears' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Grizzlies' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
