After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Garrison, The San Augustine Wolves were happy to have found some success on Friday. They took down Grapeland 42-28. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for San Augustine's ten-point performance the contest before.
San Augustine was led to victory by Tymorian Cartwright and D'Adrian Renfro. Cartwright threw for 185 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, while Renfro gained 145 total yards and three touchdowns. Renfro was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 50 yards. Another player making a difference was Jayden "Stooka" Clifton, who picked up 98 receiving yards and a touchdown.
San Augustine's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Grapeland, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
San Augustine does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Grapeland also has no future games currently scheduled.
