It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Windsor had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against the Mesa Ridge Grizzlies by a score of 71-62. This was a revenge game for the Wizards: when they faced off against the Grizzlies back in December of 2024, they had to take a 48-40 defeat.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Windsor to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brady Kingsley, who went 6-for-10 on his way to 21 points. Another player making a difference was Madden Smiley, who shot 50% from the field en route to 17 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Windsor was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They are 20-4 when they've passed the ball that well.
Despite the loss, Mesa Ridge still got an impressive performance from J'Marius Jones, who went 9-for-13 to rack up 20 points and seven boards. Those 20 points gave Jones a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Lucas, who posted nine points and three steals.
Windsor has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season. With the loss, Mesa Ridge broke their 25-game winning streak and moved their record to 25-2.
Windsor has already played their next matchup, a 60-49 win against Green Mountain on the 15th. Mesa Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
