After a string of six wins, Horizon's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Red Mountain Mountain Lions by a score of 61-58. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Huskies have suffered since December 14, 2023.

When it comes to explaining why Horizon lost, don't look at Owen Brackmann. Despite the final result, he posted 11 points along with six boards and three blocks. Gavin Henss was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Even though they lost, Horizon smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Red Mountain had a senior duo take command as Anthony Gamba dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten assists and Gage Lindsey went 8 of 10 en route to 17 points and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gamba has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kwontis Davis, who earned nine points.

Horizon's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-7. As for Red Mountain, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-4.

Horizon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 74-56 victory against Paradise Valley on the 17th. As for Red Mountain, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 44-32 win against Skyline on the 17th.
