Volleyball Recap: Norton Comes Up Short

After flying high against Millis on Wednesday, Norton came back down to earth. The Lancers fell 3-1 to the West Bridgewater Wildcats on Thursday. The Lancers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Norton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for West Bridgewater, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Norton and West Bridgewater could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Massachusetts Rankings. The Lancers will square off against Nipmuc Regional at 6:00 p.m. on the 20th with a big rank disadvantage (216 vs. 53). Meanwhile, West Bridgewater (ranked 63rd) will meet Case (ranked 15th) at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
