Basketball Game Preview: Springfield Township Spartans vs. New Hope-Solebury Lions

The Springfield Township Spartans will head out on the road to challenge the New Hope-Solebury Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Springfield Township will be strutting in after a win while New Hope-Solebury will be coming in after a loss.

Springfield Township took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They slipped by Council Rock North 63-62. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Spartans as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, New Hope-Solebury was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 61-49 to Harry S. Truman.

New Hope-Solebury's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Springfield Township, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.

Everything went Springfield Township's way against New Hope-Solebury when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as Springfield Township made off with a 61-38 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Springfield Township since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
