The home team had won the previous three meetings between Luverne and Zion Chapel, and Zion Chapel kept the tradition alive. The Luverne Tigers fell 5-2 to the Zion Chapel Rebels on Thursday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Rebels recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Luverne saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makaylah Green, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Luverne's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4-1. As for Zion Chapel, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.

Looking ahead, Luverne will head out on the road to take on Goshen at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Zion Chapel, they will host Brantley at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
