Volleyball Recap: Gridley Takes a Loss

Gridley and Orland squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Gridley had to settle for second. They came up short against the Trojans, falling 3-0. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-13, 25-17.

Abby Boyan paced Gridley's offense, picking up four kills. Boyan got some help from Isabel Santillan and her 15 assists. Santillan was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Gridley's loss dropped their record down to 24-12. As for Orland, their win was their 13th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 34-4.

Gridley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Orland, they will face off against West Valley at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
