Soccer Game Preview: Dixie vs. Battery Creek

The Dixie Hornets will venture away from home to take on the Battery Creek Dolphins at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Dixie is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.

On Friday, Dixie made easy work of Community Bible Church Christian Academy and carried off a 5-1 victory. The result was nothing new for Dixie, who have now won five matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Community Bible Church Christian Academy from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal.

Battery Creek played against Orangeburg-Wilkinson on Thursday and won via forfeit.

Battery Creek now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Dixie, their win bumped their record up to 10-2.

Everything went Dixie's way against Battery Creek in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Dixie made off with a 3-0 victory. Do the Hornets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Dolphins turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
