Softball Recap: Streetsboro Rockets vs. Coventry Comets
Streetsboro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell victim to a tough 20-5 loss at the hands of the Coventry Comets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Streetsboro of the 12-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.
Dani LaFlame was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was T'Lanee Boyett, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Streetsboro's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Coventry, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Streetsboro will be playing in front of their home fans against Norton at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Coventry, they will head out on the road to take on Field at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Field will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
