Basketball Recap: Beachside Piles Up the Points Against Riverside

With a playoff win on the line, Beachside rose to the challenge on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 60-26 victory over the Riverside Generals. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30-8.

Leading Beachside to victory were Morgan Cremen and Kendall Kane. Cremen went 6 of 11 on her way to 16 points along with eight assists and six steals, while Kane went 8 for 17 en route to 20 points and four steals. That's the most steals Kane has posted since back in February of 2024. Anni Ament was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to 11 boards and five steals.

Beachside smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

Beachside has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.5 points per game. As for Riverside, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-15.

Beachside will face off against Ponte Vedra on Saturday. Ponte Vedra will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Beachside surely won't give up without a fight. Riverside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
