Depew's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Olean Huskies, sneaking past 28-26. Surprisingly, this marked the Wildcats' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Despite the loss, Olean still got an impressive performance from Joe Mest, who rushed for 136 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also threw for 113 yards and a pair of TDs. Mest's longest rush was for an incredible 70 yards.

Depew now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Olean, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Depew is set to challenge their familiar foe Maryvale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Olean will square off against rival Albion at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
