Softball Recap: Maine-Endwell Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Maine-Endwell can now relate to. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Miller Place Panthers on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Spartans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Tessa L'Amoreaux spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.

Maine-Endwell's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Miller Place, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-2 record this season.
