Basketball Recap: Crowell Comes Up Short

Crowell was the 31-28 winner over Guthrie when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Crowell Wildcats took a 56-37 bruising from the Guthrie Jaguars on Tuesday.

Crowell has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Guthrie, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crowell will challenge Northside at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Crowell is facing Northside at the right time seeing as Northside is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Guthrie, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Guthrie Jaguars challenge the Wellman-Union Wildcats at 10:20 a.m. on Thursday.
