Basketball Recap: Fort Collins Lambkins vs. Northglenn Norsemen

The Fort Collins Lambkins entered their tilt with the Northglenn Norsemen with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Fort Collins breezed by the Norsemen at home to the tune of 86-34 on Saturday. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Fort Collins has managed all season.

Marcel Herrera continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayce King, who scored 16 points.

Despite the defeat, Northglenn had strong showings from Leo Lin, who scored six points, and Jonathan Hernandez, who scored nine points.

Fort Collins is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Northglenn, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-10.

Fort Collins has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the SaberCats at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. Averaging 63.47 points so far this season, Horizon's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so the Norsemen better be ready for a challenge.
