Softball Recap: Bellevue Redmen vs. Galion Tigers
Bellevue was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell just short of the Galion Tigers by a score of 7-6. Bellevue was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Galion apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2021.
For Galion's part, Madelyn Schieber was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Cecilia "CeCe" Campbell, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.
Bellevue's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Galion, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-10.
Bellevue will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Perkins at 4:45 p.m. As for Galion, they will head out on the road to face off against River Valley at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. River Valley is on a four-game streak of home wins, Galion a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
