Baseball Recap: Northwestern Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Northwestern took on Fairview on Wednesday. The Wildcats took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The Wildcats' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Northwestern saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Solomon Bland, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Kaleb Stout also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Northwestern's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Fairview, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Northwestern has already played their next game (against Eisenhower), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Fairview, they will challenge Corry at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers are facing the Beavers at the right time seeing as the Beavers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
