Basketball Recap: MacArthur Comes Up Short

MacArthur played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 74-16 defeat at the hands of the Nimitz Cougars. The Generals haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

It was another big night for Aniah Richard, who went 9 of 15 en route to 25 points and four steals for Nimitz. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Williams, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine assists.

MacArthur's loss dropped their record down to 6-20. As for Nimitz, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-8.

MacArthur will face off against Eisenhower at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Nimitz, they will host Aldine at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Nimitz is facing Aldine at the right time seeing as Aldine is stuck on an 18-game losing streak.
