Volleyball Recap: Sunnyslope Vikings vs. Liberty Lions
Sunnyslope had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Liberty Lions by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Vikings sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
While Sunnyslope might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Liberty scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-20, 22-25, 25-22.
Zoe Haan paced Sunnyslope's offense, picking up 25 kills. Haan got some help from
Kaia Pixler and her 52 assists. Haan was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.
Sunnyslope's win bumped their record up to 26-8. As for Liberty, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 20-12.
Sunnyslope has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Xavier College Prep on the 14th. Liberty does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
