Volleyball Recap: Newton Comes Up Short

Newton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cardinals of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-5, 25-15, 25-13.

Newton's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Dallas Center-Grimes, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season.

Newton has already played their next matchup (against Gilbert), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Dallas Center-Grimes does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
