Basketball Recap: Liberty Academy Comes Up Short

Liberty Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 41-39 heartbreaker at the hands of the Watts Engineers.

Liberty Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Watts, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 4-7 record.

Liberty Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-33 win against Tournament Team on the 18th. As for Watts, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cave Springs at 7:30 p.m. on January 28th.
