Basketball Recap: North Hagerstown Comes Up Short

On Saturday, the North Hagerstown Hubs ended up a good deal behind the Leonardtown Raiders and lost 42-24.

Leonardtown's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Madison Baldwin, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Gretchen Fleck, who put up six points and three steals.

North Hagerstown's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Leonardtown, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

North Hagerstown will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Oakdale at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025. Oakdale will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something North Hagerstown surely won't give up without a fight. As for Leonardtown, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-15 victory against Calvert on the 27th.
