Basketball Game Preview: Waterford Ravens vs. Rowland Hall Winged Lions

The Waterford Ravens will square off against the Rowland Hall Winged Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Waterford's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Rowland Hall has been banged up by 15 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

Last Tuesday, Waterford beat Maeser Prep Academy 34-24.

Waterford's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Anne Howard, who posted 15 points, and Kenley Carter, who earned nine points.

Meanwhile, Rowland Hall played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against St. Joseph, falling 45-18.

Despite the defeat, Rowland Hall saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lila Bates had eight points.

Rowland Hall's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Waterford, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-6.

Waterford beat Rowland Hall 37-25 in their previous meeting back in January. Will Waterford repeat their success, or does Rowland Hall have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
