Carter Eickmeier Crosses Big Stat Threshold

On Friday, Shelby-Rising City got the W thanks in part to Carter Eickmeier playing the best football he has all season. Eickmeier rushed for 244 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 12.2 yards per carry. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (102.8) per game. His longest rush was for an incredible 73 yards.

The victory (which was Shelby-Rising City's fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. Eickmeier and Shelby-Rising City will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on McCool Junction at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th.

Mcdonald Posts Huge Game in 52-6 Win

McCool Junction found a leader in Carson Mcdonald as the team took down Heartland on Friday. Mcdonald did his part (and then some), rushing for 164 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 carries, while also throwing for 114 yards and a touchdown for the 'W'.

McCool Junction's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2. It'll be an old-fashioned rodeo when Mustangs faces off against Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

A Season-Best Effort from Jakson Smaus Leads East Butler over Mead

Jakson Smaus produced his most outstanding game to date while leading East Butler to the win on Friday. Smaus picked up 143 receiving yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 41 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making four total tackles and defending a pass in addition to snagging an interception.

For the season, Smaus has caught those 4 touchdowns while averaging 37.8 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 13.17 receiving yards per game.

Grant Kozisek Sets Career High in Rushing Yards

Grant Kozisek produced his most outstanding game to date while leading East Butler to the win on Friday. Kozisek rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 96 yards and three touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He didn't just play on offense: he also made ten total tackles and defended two passes.

On the season, Kozisek has thrown 4 touchdowns while averaging 21.8 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 6.6 passer rating per game. This year he is averaging 51.47 passer rating.

Tytus R Lee Delivers Best Performance of Season

Mead came up short on Friday despite Tytus R Lee delivering his best game to date. R Lee made 19 total tackles (2.0 for loss). The performance also marked the most rushing yards (84) he has had since back in September of 2023.all of that, receiving production came thanks to one massive catch

Mead is on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6. R Lee and Mead will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Heartland at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th.
