Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Penelope). They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Oakwood Panthers 46-43. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wolverines as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Penelope's win bumped their record up to 3-18. As for Oakwood, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Penelope will venture away from home to square off against Trinidad at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: Trinidad has lost seven straight at home , while Penelope has lost ten on the road (dating back to last season). As for Oakwood, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Oakwood Panthers duke it out with the Neches Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
