Tripp Buettner produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Hay Springs to the win on Friday. Buettner rushed for 143 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries, and also picked up 32 receiving yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He didn't just play on offense: he also forced a fumble and made six total tackles in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.
This year, Buettner has run in 7 touchdowns while averaging 68.4 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging four rushing yards per game.

On the year, McDonald has caught 4 touchdowns while averaging 32 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after five games last season, he had two receiving touchdowns.

The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in September of 2023.
