Basketball Recap: Irvington Has No Trouble Against Putnam Valley

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pearl River, Irvington was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They greeted the New Year with with a 57-40 win over the Putnam Valley Tigers. While the Bulldogs didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Irvington's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Putnam Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Irvington will take on Westlake at 6:15 p.m. on January 10th. As for Putnam Valley, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Putnam Valley Tigers duke it out with the Pleasantville Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
