Volleyball Recap: Divine Savior Academy Beats Academy for Innovative Education for Their Third Straight Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Divine Savior Academy walked away with it. They blew past the Academy for Innovative Education Aviators 3-0 on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Sharks as they're now sitting on three straight.

Divine Savior Academy can attribute much of their success to Sara Arango, who had four aces and three digs. Those four aces gave Arango a new career-high. Mariana Ruiz also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Divine Savior Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 11 consecutive matchups.

Divine Savior Academy's win bumped their record up to 25-1. As for Academy for Innovative Education, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13.

Divine Savior Academy has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Hialeah Educational Academy on the 16th. Academy for Innovative Education does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
