Football Game Preview: St. Joseph Academy Bloodhounds vs. San Antonio Christian Lions

Two dominant signal callers in Gavin Cisneros and Sloan Guillory are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The St. Joseph Academy Bloodhounds will take on the San Antonio Christian Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

St. Joseph Academy took a loss when they played away from home on October 9th, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with an 18-10 victory over St. Joseph. The Bloodhounds haven't had any issues with the Flyers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, San Antonio Christian was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past St. Anthony 41-6. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-0.

The critical scores for San Antonio Christian came from Aaron Edmonds, Blaise Moberg, Owen Marino, Asher Zimmerman, and Guillory.

San Antonio Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Edmonds.

San Antonio Christian's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for St. Joseph Academy, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.

Everything came up roses for St. Joseph Academy against San Antonio Christian when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 43-13 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bloodhounds since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
