Basketball Game Preview: Kenwood Knights vs. West Creek Coyote

Kenwood and West Creek are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. The Kenwood Knights will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the West Creek Coyote at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Thursday, Kenwood had to suffer through a 67-32 loss at the hands of Henry County. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Kenwood got top-tier performance from Yazmine Pearson, who posted 19 points. That was a full 59.4% of Kenwood's points, marking the seventh time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sy?Nya Seay, who earned 13 points.

Meanwhile, West Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were beaten by McEwen 71-23. While losing is never fun, the Coyote can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 328th, while the Warriors are ranked 100th).

Kenwood's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for West Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.
