Baseball Game Preview: Washington Prexies vs. Brownsville Falcons

Washington hasn't had much luck against Brownsville recently, but that could start to change on Monday. Washington will challenge Brownsville at 4:15 p.m. Brownsville took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Washington, who comes in off a win.

Washington is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Monessen on Thursday. Washington was the clear victor by a 19-3 margin over Monessen. The win continues a trend for the Prexies in their matchups with the Greyhounds: they've now won eight in a row.

Meanwhile, Brownsville lost 13-5 to Waynesburg Central on Wednesday. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Nash Petroff made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Brownsville's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Washington, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Washington suffered a grim 22-6 defeat to Brownsville in their previous matchup back in April of 2018. Can Washington avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
