Everett gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They came out on top against the Bedford Bisons by a score of 65-52. The victory was some much needed relief for the Warriors as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Defeat or not, Bedford got some senior leadership from Jacob Wilson and Owen Horne. Wilson went 9 for 21 en route to 23 points plus five rebounds, while Horne earned seven points. The dominant performance also gave Horne a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (50%). Another player making a difference was Chase Bauman, who posted six points along with two steals.
Everett didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 77-54 loss against Chestnut Ridge on the 30th. Bedford has also already played their next contest, a 59-45 win against Northern Bedford County on the 30th.
