Baseball Recap: Mount View Takes a Loss

Mount View fell victim to Greater Beckley Christian and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crusaders. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Hunter Muncy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 11 Ks.

At the plate, Mount View saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was David Little, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Mount View's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Greater Beckley Christian, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

While Mount View had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
