Basketball Recap: Valley Christian Takes a Loss

If Valley Christian was feeling good fresh off their 45-6 takedown of Leetonia last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The contest between the Valley Christian Eagles and the Lowellville Rockets didn't end well, with the Valley Christian Eagles falling 48-32. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 44-11 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Morgan Lewis was the offensive standout of the match as she went 8-for-15 on her way to 17 points and four steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Sydney Procick was another key player, putting up 11 points and seven rebounds.

Valley Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season. As for Lowellville, their victory bumped their record up to 10-11.

Valley Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-31 loss against Heartland Christian on the 12th. As for Lowellville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 58-52 defeat against McDonald on the 8th.
