Basketball Recap: Lakeland Takes a Loss

Lakeland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 52-40 to the Dunmore Bucks. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chiefs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-23 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Lakeland still got an impressive performance from David Naniewicz, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Noah Kutchmanich, who earned eight points and five assists.

Lakeland's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Dunmore, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.

Lakeland is taking a road trip to challenge Honesdale at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Honesdale has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Dunmore, they will be playing at home against Western Wayne at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Dunmore is facing Western Wayne at the right time seeing as Western Wayne is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
