For the second straight game, Western Reserve will face off against Memorial. The Blue Devils will square off against the Red Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Western Reserve is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.

While Western Reserve didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against Memorial on Thursday as they made off with a 14-4 victory. The Blue Devils not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 1st (when they won 10-0).

Ross Watkins was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over 4.1 innings pitched. Watkins was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

In other batting news, Western Reserve got a massive performance out of Hunter Stacy, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI Stacy has posted over his last 11 matches. Another player making a difference was Jude Kiraly, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.

Western Reserve was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Memorial only posted a batting average of .235.

Western Reserve moved to 7-5 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Memorial, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
