Softball Recap: Crestview Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Crestview's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They skirted past the Jefferson Wildcats 5-3. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Knights as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Emily Heth spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on eight hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kylie Williams, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaci Gregory, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Crestview's win bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Jefferson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crestview will head out to square off against Wayne Trace at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jefferson, they will venture away from home to challenge Lima Central Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
