Softball Recap: Royal Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Thousand Oaks, Royal was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Kennedy Cougars.

The result came thanks to Julianna Galbraith's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 15 Ks. Those 15 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, Lidija Faubert was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Josephine Gallo also deserves some recognition as she stole her first stolen bases of the season.

Royal now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Kennedy, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Royal has already played their next match, a 10-0 win against West Ranch on the 1st. As for Kennedy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-5 defeat against Highland on the 1st.
