Basketball Recap: Hale Comes Up Short

If Hale was riding high fresh off their 46-23 takedown of Whittemore-Prescott last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hale Eagles took a 59-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mio-Au Sable Thunderbolts on Friday. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Thunderbolts earlier this season, when they won 40-33.

Hale's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Mio-Au Sable, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. As for Mio-Au Sable, they will head out to square off against Rogers City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
