Softball Recap: Santa Fe Indian Comes Up Short

Santa Fe Indian had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 12-11 to make it four. They fell 5-1 to the Robertson Cardinals. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Santa Fe Indian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Misha Martinez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

As for Robertson, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-12. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games.

On Robertson's side, Kylee Griego made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave Griego a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run.
