Volleyball Recap: North East Comes Up Short

North East lost against Cathedral Prep back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Grape Pickers came up short against the Ramblers, falling 3-0. The Grape Pickers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-20, 25-15.

Cathedral Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Colette Speros led the charge by getting 13 digs, 12 kills, and three aces. Speros is crushing it when it comes to kills: she's had at least five every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Mackenzie Moore, who had 16 digs and six aces.

North East's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7-1. As for Cathedral Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-10-1 record this season.

North East wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Harbor Creek on the 16th. As for Cathedral Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Fort LeBoeuf on the 16th.
