Basketball Recap: Falls Lake Piles Up the Points Against Research Triangle

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Uwharrie Charter Academy, Falls Lake was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They really took it to the Research Triangle Raptors for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-18 victory. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-7.

Leading Falls Lake to victory were Marli Seibles and Jeneen Mason. Seibles shot 47% from the field on her way to 17 points and four steals, while Mason went 6-for-11 to rack up 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Camille Murray, who posted eight points and five steals.

Falls Lake smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in December of 2024.

The win got Falls Lake back to even at 1-1. As for Research Triangle, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Falls Lake will venture away from home to square off against Clover Garden School at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Research Triangle, they will head out to face off against Voyager Academy at 6:00 p.m. on December 2.
