Baseball Recap: Midwest Central Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Midwest Central had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Deer Creek-Mackinaw Chiefs by a score of 2-1 on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

The victory got Deer Creek-Mackinaw back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Midwest Central will challenge El Paso-Gridley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Deer Creek-Mackinaw, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Peoria Heights at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
