Basketball Game Preview: Northwestern Wildcats vs. Wise Pumas

Northwestern hasn't had much luck against Wise recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Northwestern Wildcats will take on the Wise Pumas. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It was a proper cat-fight when Northwestern duked it out withFlowers on Tuesday. Northwestern might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 2-0 to Flowers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, Wise was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 52-47 to Parkdale. The Pumas have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wise's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Northwestern, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-2.

Northwestern took a serious blow against Wise when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 47-9. Can Northwestern avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
