Basketball Game Preview: Mother Seton Setters vs. Piscataway Vo-Tech Raiders

After both having extra time off, the Mother Seton Setters and the Piscataway Vo-Tech Raiders will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Mother Seton's offense hasn't had much luck over their past four games, but Friday's matchup will give them a chance to turn things around.

Two weeks ago, Mother Seton was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 18-17 to Wardlaw Hartridge. The loss was the Setters' first of the season.

Meanwhile, Piscataway Vo-Tech won against East Brunswick Vo-Tech last Monday with 46 points and they decided to stick to that point total again last Monday. Piscataway Vo-Tech strolled past East Brunswick with points to spare, taking the game 46-30. That's two games straight that the Raiders have won by exactly 16 points.

The win (which was Piscataway Vo-Tech's third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.7 points per game. As for Mother Seton, their defeat was their first of the season and also makes their record 3-1.

Mother Seton couldn't quite finish off Piscataway Vo-Tech when the teams last played back in January and fell 35-33. Can Mother Seton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
