Baseball Recap: Phoenix Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Phoenix can now relate to. They lost 12-1 to the Marist Spartans on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Pirates couldn't push the score so high this time.

Phoenix saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Conner Cunningham, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Phoenix's loss dropped their record down to 17-11. As for Marist, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 19-3.

As of now, neither Phoenix nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
