Basketball Recap: Tushka Takes Down Elmore City-Pernell in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Tushka had no trouble coming through when it counted. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Elmore City-Pernell Badgers 52-49. That's two games straight that the Tigers have won by exactly three points.

Tushka found their leader in freshman Cleat Zike, who posted 12 points and four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for Zike. Another player making a difference was Jaxson Gregory, who earned nine points.

Tushka smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in November of 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for Tushka and bumps their season record up to 8-16. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to offensive boards: they averaged an imposing 12.5 offensive rebounds in those games compared to only 6.09 in the others. As for Elmore City-Pernell, their loss dropped their record down to 15-8.

As of now, neither Tushka nor Elmore City-Pernell have any future games scheduled.
