Recap: Cordova Blue Devils vs. Dora Bulldogs
After a string of seven wins, the Cordova Blue Devils's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 53-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dora. Cordova lost against Dora in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 44-39 score last time.
It was another big night for Bella Reese, who scored 21 points along with 9 rebounds and 6 steals for Dora. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Reese has scored at least 25% of Dora's points. Another player making a difference was Lyria Meadows, who scored 11 points.
Cordova has yet to win a game on the road this season, leaving them with a 7-1 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points per game. As for Dora, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cordova will take on Oak Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dora, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Fultondale at 12:00 p.m. on December 4th.
