Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Golden Valley). They escaped with a win on Monday against the Kimball Jaguars by the margin of a single free throw, 77-76. The win was nothing new for the Cougars as they're now sitting on three straight.

Golden Valley pushed their record up to 12-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points per game. As for Kimball, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Golden Valley will square off against Summerville at 7:30 p.m. on January 13th. As for Kimball, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Lincoln's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six contests.
